Grief.....The ache that never leaves.
This kind of loss is one in which the pain never truly goes away ….
Tucked away in a corner somewhere in the deep recesses of the heart.
There it remains at a constant low level ache.
There may be times when a sight, a smell, a place, a song, an anniversary or birthday will trigger the old memories and the intensity of the grief and loss will return again.
These feelings often arrive without warning and can be just as painful making one feel as though she was experiencing the loss anew.

Grief.....Is a tidal wave that over takes you,
smashes down upon you with unimaginable force,
sweeps you up into its darkness,
where you tumble and crash against unidentifiable surfaces,
only to be thrown out on an unknown beach, bruised, reshaped...

I look at your photograph and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew, I am filled with warmth and my heart remembers love.
I remember who you used to be, the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now, where did you go when the body was left behind and the spirit was released to fly?
I miss your being but I feel your presence,
Your spirit has become for me a guardian angel on high guiding, and watching over me.

Remembering
“Remmebering is hard, but I love it so, becuase it brings me memories of you.
Loved by so many, this is a tribute to your memory.
When we played kiddy karate, and fought off enemies in the games, we laughed together every day. I kissed your forhead one last time, and said goodbye to you for a time.
Years go by, but nothings' changed. Unexpected as it was, it happened that day, and I'll never forget it till the end of my days.
Our years we spent together were few, but none of those were wasted as I love you.
Together forever, no matter what, I will always be your little boy who never forgot...
...what a caring daddy you truly were.

Heaven's Bed
Up in heaven you are today, so very far away. Remember you we do, no matter how sad we are about you.
Years may have ticked by as they must, but we remember you as if you were still here with us.
As you lay in your eternal bed, the clouds whisper to you the things we've said.
How we miss you today, tomorrow and the next day - you are a million or so miles away. Still we are sad, but glad as we remember you, which we do.
Stay in your bed, don't get up, for we are going to be there soon enough. Stay asleep for now, as we'll one day be and join you in your brilliant angel's sea.
See you soon in rays of light, they are so bright. Taking us to you they are, you are waiting for us by the brightest star.
